3.         Export to China Capacity Building Program

Project Goal

Increase exports of SMEs from developing countries to china, to take advantage of Asia’s largest and most dynamic import market, as a stimulus to boost international trade.

Project Strategy

The project adopts a three-pronged strategy:

l  Production of comprehensive materials and tools to increase availability and accessibility of customized trade-related information on the Chinese market;

l  Capacity building to improve SMEs' awareness and understanding on how to export to the Chinese market;

l  Application of the information, knowledge and skills transferred through direct contacts with potential Chinese buyers and business partners, and identification of new business opportunities and partnerships.

Training Topic

l  How to develop your exports to China?

l  Working with Chinese companies-understanding culture, business practices and effective partnership building;

l  Cross border trade with China and trade facilitation;

l  Experience sharing from a Chinese importer;

l  Introduction to e-commerce for the Chinese market;

Key Activities

Field-based demand surveys in China and supply surveys in developing countries; development of a web-based trade information portal; publication of a business guidebook on how to export to China; awareness-raising round table on potential for and constraints to export expansion to China; training workshops and advisory support on Chinese market conditions and requirements, trade fair participation and follow-up; participation in trade fairs and matchmaking events in China; field visits to production sites in China.

4.         CEM

Introduction

Established in 1975 by the IAEE board of directors as a voluntary certification program, the CEM credential is recognized throughout the exhibitions and events industry as a means of raising professional standards.

The CEM learning program is a comprehensive course of study of specific and practical information within the exhibitions and events management arena. The program is based on a curriculum blueprint that is composed of the essential concepts required of a competent professional in the study of exhibitions and events management.

5.         Leading Talents Training

Introduction

6.         Consumer Product Safety Training

Introduction

Toys, children's products, electronic products exported are submitted to lot of consumer goods safety regulations. Frequent recall of products for safety problems cause huge loss for export enterprises. Training for product safety can help export manufacturers deal with consumer product safety; reduce cases of recall so as to enhance competitiveness of Chinese enterprises.
